Once Complete with Training...... How hard is it to find a job?

I've just been laided off from 2 year IT job and have been in the IT field for 4 years now. I've decided to become a firefighter and I'm currently enrolled in Firefighter I and EMT courses. My question is if you are mentially and physically able to pass the exams/test how hard is it to find a job?

Finding the jobs is easy. Subscribe to this service and you'll get a list of new opportunities every day.

Getting the job, however, is extremely difficult. There are thousands and thousands of applicants for very few positions. And with upcoming budget woes the outlook will be quite grim for a while. Get the training, and start testing, but don't ever believe it's going to be an easy process.
