or I am currently going through a firefighter's Academy, and I will be graduating in December. I only have one kidney though. Would you happen to know what departments might have a problem with this, and which ones do not?

I'm sure every department is different in regards to what can potentially disqualify you as a candidate, but maybe some others can help you on specific departments in your area if you post this question in the [url=http://www.firecareers.com/viewtopics.cfm?Forum=11]Open Forum[/url].
Some good advise that has been mentioned on this board before is to get a signed letter from a Doctor, who is a specialist in that area, that says you are able to perform the duties of a Firefighter. You can hand the medical evaluator the letter if the issue comes up.
