Driving Record

I am currently in the application process with a large city Dept. I am at the backround investigation stage, all I have left is the polygraph and medical, if it can go wrong it does, and I got a speeding ticket which doesn't put me over the limit for suitability but does reflect badly on me for the timing. My question is how heavily is something of this nature weighted in regards to my chances on the whole? The ticket was not excessive and not in a school zone.

Congratulations on making it this far in the process. It's quite an accomplishment. As has been discussed in the past, everyone makes mistakes. A single speeding ticket (unless something unusuall about it) would not disqualify you.

I am ertain it will be used as a part of the entire package.

If you have a speeding ticket, several parking tickets......it could show a pattern. In and of itself, I would not worry.

Parking tickets are part of your driving history. Yes, they will find out about them.
