Requirements:

1. Bachelors’ degree (preferred) and licensed through the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES).

2. Certification as a Firefighter I and II in accordance with the standards established by the Michigan Fire Fighters Training Council. Candidates may allow without these certifications but it will be expected to obtain these certifications after hire.

3. Valid Michigan driver’s license.

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience:
•  Valid NC Driver License and good driving record.
•  Three (3) years of experience in plans review and project management and ability to obtain Code Enforcement Certifications as specified below.
•  At minimum, must qualify for a Level III certification in Building and a Level II certification in Fire through the NC Dept. of Insurance. Level III Fire certification is preferred.
•  Additional certifications in Plumbing II (Probationary or Standard) and/or
•  Mechanical Level II (Probationary or Standard) are a plus.
•  Must have computer skills sufficient to perform inspections and enter field data by using iPads, and using iPhones to perform inspections remotely and communicate with customers, peers, supervisor, and fellow-employees.
