or Hi Craig, I was wondering if it would be at all possible to attach an icon to our user as being a verified career firefighter.
And would you be able to set up separate ones for retired, volunteer, etc.
I'm invisioning this to be Administrator set, not user choice. In other words, those that wish an icon associated with their user, would need to verify employment etc with the Admin.

An interesting concept and concern. Which causes me to think... is not the easiest way to be identified simply to sign your name to your messages and provide essential details in your user profile? All of which is currently possible (for those who choose to do so) at this time without any particular cost or effort on the part of the forum participant and our very gracious hosts?

Hey fireman...
My biggest question would be....WHY?
To what end does this serve?
I mean I don't care if people know Im not full time paid professional etc etc etc....but in most of the United States we have "career volunteers". Is there some reason why we need to distinguish between who is paid and who is not???
Just curious.
